The Saint-Mélaine church, of Romanesque foundation and rebuilt in the 16th century, is located less than 10 minutes from Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe, on the border between Anjou bleu and Sarthe.
The church of Romanesque foundation was given to the Abbey of Saint-Serge d'Angers by Lord Guy de Cré in 1075.
