In our house, the passion for wine is a family affair, where each person expresses his or her know-how and contributes his or her definition of our unique appellations: Madiran & Pacherenc du Vic Bilh. Bortolussi family conscientious winemakers from father to daughter For 4 generations, the Château has been a standard above our heads, and together we have been drawing its history and giving it life. It is now Claire and Marion Bortolussi, two sisters united and complementary who take over the reins of the family wine estate. On the 25ha of vines, we offer wines that are both concentrated and fine, with a marvellous mouthfeel, in total respect of the identity of the native grape varieties. Knowing the land, listening to the vines, not resigning oneself to following practices without questioning ... this long-standing commitment for the Bortolussi family has resulted in the conversion of the entire vineyard to organic farming in 2020. The Château, a majestic 18th century building, welcomes visitors curious to discover the secrets of a vineyard but also a place where sharing, culture, education and gastronomy are intertwined Much more than a visit, it is a stopover that will be proposed to you, let yourself be tempted by the rich invitations that are offered to you: The Gardens of Aure A playful and educational walk, for young and old The vines, guardians of this garden, take you on a walk where tradition and modernity are skilfully combined for the pleasure of the senses. The garden is marked out by several creations that reflect the themes of wine and the environment. To discover without moderation: the arbour, the tree house, the pergola, the garden of scents.. Free access every day Oeno-gourmet sandwiches For small groups is proposed to discover the world of wine in an accessible, friendly and warm way. In the heart of the wine-making cellar, during tastings of a selection of the Château's wines accompanied by gourmet spreads with local flavours, the Bortolussi family invites you to savour the wine and its pairing with dishes in all simplicity. Gourmet sandwiches: 5€ per person | on reservation My own Madiran ! Wine blending workshop This activity offers an immersion in the daily life of a winegrower and to discover in a playful and educational way the basics of the art of tasting and the different flavours After the theory, the practice! The participants must now put themselves in the shoes of an oenologist and create the perfect blend. Fruity, long on the palate, subtle tannin ... all possibilities are open to them. 45 € per blending table | 6 participants maximum per table | on reservation One day a secret in my vineyard A series of 4 workshops throughout the year to learn about the work of the vine and to understand its plant cycle. 24 € per person, including a gourmet welcome, the workshop and the winemaker's lunch Wine through the senses A day placed under the sign of exchange and conviviality. The invitation is to discover the world of wine "differently", through the pleasure of all the senses.. Welcomed by the two generations of the family, the day begins with a visit to the Jardins d'Aure with commentary in order to share their passion and their work as winegrowers. The walk ends at the foot of the Château and the discovery of the imposing 18th century building and its barrel cellar. The guests then take place in the main room to taste the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic Bilh wines of the Château during a gastronomic meal that will delight gourmets and gourmands. Every Sunday in the summer from mid-July to mid-September 35€ per adult | 17,50 € per child under 12 years old, including the guided tour, the wines and the meal. The appointment is given at the Château where you can discover the barrel cellar, the backstage of the production of their wines Then the curtain rises a little higher... In the unique setting of the reception room, a commented tasting of the Château's emblematic wines takes place. This is punctuated by the artistic interventions of talented musicians Throughout the evening, a gastronomic cocktail reception is offered, where the food naturally matches the wines of the estate.
