Gîte de caractère " Maison de l'abbé". We welcome you all year round in the heart of the listed village of Sorèze and the great site of Occitanie. The house dates back to 1732 and has been renovated with passion. It is situated in an enclosed garden with a view of the St Martin bell tower and the foothills of the Montagne Noire.

The Maison de l'abbé character gîte welcomes you all year round, in the heart of the listed village of Sorèze and the great Occitan site "At the sources of the Canal du Midi" (Soreze-Revel-St Ferreol). Sorèze is a village with a prestigious historical past due to its Benedictine abbey founded in 754. Heritage lovers can lose themselves in the medieval streets of the village following the footsteps of the pilgrims (a stage on the Arles to Santiago de Compostela route), visit the Abbey School, discover the Dom Robert Museum (one of the masters, along with Lurçat, of 20th century tapestry) or the work of Pierre Paul Riquet, the genius who designed the Canal du Midi. Nature lovers will discover the Montagne Noire, its forests and its river, on foot, by bike or on horseback, as well as the lake of St Ferreol, 3 km away. Not forgetting the local markets, the markets of flavours in Sorèze, and the Saturday morning market in Revel, classified among the most beautiful markets in France.
