This circuit around the lake is accessible to all.
La Bernerie has all the advantages of a large town, but remains an unspoilt coastal village with a large sandy beach. It also boasts another must-see attraction for families: a large, safe stretch of seawater, accessible for swimming and water sports at all times of the tide. THE emblematic walk at La Bernerie: around the lake. Whatever the weather, you'll enjoy the view on this 2 km stroll. The panorama stretches from Pornic to Bouin. Whether the tide is high or low, there's always something to observe on the sea or foreshore. But if you look inland, there's plenty to see: swimmers, children learning to sail on Optimists, windsurfers and, more recently, wingfoilers. The boards take off from the water and seem to fly above the surface. The sportsman holds his sail at arm's length - it's spectacular! Whether it's windy, cold or sunny, it's a show all year round! Be careful, though: with a strong tide and a westerly wind, you're liable to get drenched! The game consists in anticipating the waves to escape the spray. [For the more experienced, you can continue the tour by following the "Hole of Hell" circuit (5.8 km)] Find out more about the destination's other "accessible to all" circuits and "Balades à Roulettes".
