SORTIE NATURE

Date:

"Listening to the stag's bellow", from 8.30pm to 11pm. By reservation only

The Forêt du Gâvre is the only major forest massif still home to a population of elaphe deer. Over a very short period in September, we can hear the impressive sound of males bellowing at night to mark their territory and reproduce. After an indoor presentation on the biological and ecological particularities of this species, we'll regroup in our cars and head for the previously marked braying spots. We'll stay on the small roads and forest lanes so as not to disturb the animals during a vital phase of their biology. Our outings are authorized by the ONF, as they aim to bring together and supervise interested parties. Book online on HelloAsso or by telephone on 02 40 87 15 11
