Nicknamed "the little Chinese port", this picturesque port is located in the heart of the Breton marsh and the Bay of Bourgneuf. It is both a fishing port and a marina.

Located on the edge of the Vendée, once a major port of the "Baye de Bretagne", the Baie du Sel, Le Collet is now an oyster port. For centuries, Le Collet was a great port for the export of salt produced in the salt marshes of the coast. A lock regulates the waters of the marsh and those of the sea. The gangways give Le Collet the appearance of a "small Chinese port". You have to come to Le Collet to understand the charm of the large mudflat at low tide where thousands of birds come to look for their food and where the sunsets are magnificent, with the fisheries in the background...
