Ferme de La Corbière produces organic vegetables and bread and is part of a sustainable development approach combining the production of healthy and affordable food, job creation on a small farm and the preservation of natural resources.

La Corbière is the name of a farm located in the south of Maine-et-Loire, in the Mauges country, where the land has been passed down from father to son from generation to generation for over 140 years. La Corbière is also the name of an old building which is charged with the values and the history of the men who lived there. A small farm with a surface area of 28 hectares, the farm was for a long time run as a mixed farm, before specialising in open-field market gardening and cereal growing in the post-war period. Today, it produces about forty varieties of vegetables per year, and cereals processed into flour and then bread, on the farm. The team is now aiming to further diversify production in the coming years: small-scale farming (hens, pigs), arboriculture, small fruits, medicinal plants, honey. The Corbière is also the site of a sustainable development project. Born from a reflection on the social, environmental and energy problems posed by our current mode of development, the La Corbière project aims to respond to the three pillars of sustainable development: preservation of the environment and natural resources, social equity between peoples and generations, and economic viability. The farm welcomes you to its weekly market every Wednesday from 4pm to 7.30pm: seasonal vegetables, fresh breads, and many products from local producers (eggs, dairy products, fruit, meat...). You can also order your bread on our website and pick it up every evening between 5 and 7 pm. Find the farm on: www.fermedelacorbiere.fr
