The living museum of Laval Public School is located on the site of a former school. It has the atmosphere of an elementary school from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The living museum of the public school, opened in Laval in 1991, currently brings together more than 10,000 objects to remember what school was like in the past. Visitors will be able to discover the reconstruction of a room from the beginning of the 20th century with its period furniture and the classroom equipment used in the school of the past. A second room is dedicated to permanent exhibitions. Accessible to people with reduced mobility. HOURS : - monday and Wednesday 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm - the first Sunday of the month, free of charge - guided tours are at 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, for visit and/or writing workshop for GROUPS from 6 persons (schools, associations, companies, health institutions...) by appointment only. - Writing, Origami and Cross-stitch workshops during school vacations. Schedules and programs are communicated in the local press and on the websites and facebook OTHER INFORMATION - access to the parking lot only for cars, vans and minibuses. RATES : - Guided tour: 3? for 18 years old and over - 2? for 6 to 17 years old and free for under 6 years old.
