The Bizeuls peat bog is an exceptional site for several reasons: First of all, this is a wetland. Wetlands are important for the preservation of water quality. The peat bog of the Bizeuls is occupied by a species protected at the Regional level: the Potentille des Marais. The site also presents many other more or less rare plant species. More than 60 of them have been recorded. The site also hosts animal species: newts, viviparous lizards, various dragonflies etc..
