CHÂTEAU DE CRAON

Château de Craon is an elegant tufa chateau dating from the late 18th century. Its Versailles-inspired architecture has earned it the nickname of "Mayenne's Little Versailles". The furniture that once belonged to Marie-Antoinette and the finely carved woodwork in the salons are further evidence of this. The vast 47-hectare park, including the formal garden, forms a remarkable green setting for this architectural ensemble, not to mention the large walled kitchen garden, the wash house, the ice house and the chapel, which complete this well-preserved historical and family heritage.
