LA POMMERAYE

Its hillsides overlooking the Loire Valley are a favourable terroir for the Coteaux de la Loire AOC vineyard. Fruit growing is also very present, and agriculture, in which cattle breeding dominates, is quite diversified. The Pommeraye also has an industrial tradition. Built on footwear during the last century, it has now diversified. Important transport companies with a long family tradition have their headquarters here. Resolutely outward-looking, the Pommeraye is the venue for major events such as the Course de Côtes, an international automobile competition. It welcomes its visitors to the tourist complex "Les Jardins de l'Anjou", which has an accommodation capacity of more than 350 beds, or to the many campsites and gites. With its shopping centre and numerous sports and cultural associations, La Pommeraye is a lively town with quality facilities and services.
