"I now aspire to create unique stoneware pieces, which I sometimes recompose with ochres I have extracted myself. The sober, soft lines are underlined by incisions and cracks, evocative of the different states of our Earth. Some creations are also decorated on the lathe, I incise the surface in a jerky and repetitive way, which creates a rhythm, an imprint; this gesturality reminds me of the Nigerien potters at work, constantly spinning around their pots in a dance rhythmed by the percussions of their tools. Then comes the enamel, I compose my recipes with the aim of preserving, after firing, the memory of the molten material" (gas firing, reducing atmosphere 1280°C)
