Church characteristic of the reconstruction of churches at the end of the 19th century

The Church of Notre-Dame La Nouvelle was completed in 1884. It takes the name "nouvelle" to differentiate it from the Romanesque church of the 12th century Imposing church, visible from afar, it offers an interesting architectural diversity. Its historiated stained-glass windows recall, among other things, the legend of the Holy Tear and episodes from the life of Pétronille de Chemillé, 1st abbess of the Abbey of Fontevraud It is listed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments.
