Built in the 17th century on the site of a fortified castle, the Château de la Faucille is located between Anjou and Mayenne, in the village of Hôtellerie-de-Flée. Dominated by high schistose hillsides, its park is crossed by the river Oudon.

Situated in the heart of a valley dominated by high schistose slopes and crossed by the Oudon river, the Château de la Faucille was built in the 17th century on the ruins of an old medieval fortified castle. The facades open onto the park's surroundings are organized in bays arranged along an axis of symmetry. The garden is composed of three terraces, occupied by a vegetable garden and flowerbeds decorated with old boxwood that descend from the castle to the river. The chapel, the dovecote, the ice-house and the restored orangery bear witness to the way life was organised on a castral site such as La Faucille.
