The Angevin vineyard, land of hiking
Go for a walk in the old districts of Chalonnes and its countryside. You will first take the GR3 in the direction of the Quai Gambetta, take the opportunity to admire the Loire, the bridge of Chalonnes and its beautiful houses. You will then head towards the Tour St Pierre and then you will take a covered passage to continue your walk in the streets of Chalonnes. You will go down a small passage towards the banks of the Loire, to then go up towards the lime kilns St Vincent. Get ready for a small climb on a path, where you will then walk along the Loire below. Be careful, you will be able to see it through the trees in some clearer places. You will then leave the GR3 to continue on the yellow marked trail. You will walk for the most part on a small country road with little traffic, and a vineyard will be on your left. You will pass by small paths around the fields in the heights of Chalonnes, calmness assured! Caution: in the north of the circuit, narrow passage near the Loire river, possible bypass by the road (see general map of the circuits) Possible links, marked in red (see general map of the circuits) : - link n°1 to circuits n°10 and 13, 8 km, with 1 km along the D961 and 2 passages on bridges fitted out for bicycles - link n°2 to circuit n°25, 1 km, access only in summer (temporary footbridge)
