On the Wine Roads, this 86 km wine tourism circuit invites you to discover the Layon Valley's panoramas and unmissable sites. So, by car!

In Angers, your departure town, visit its Castle and its ramparts, as well as the Maison des Vins d'Anjou Saumur. This is the opportunity to taste one of the 17 AOCs that you will cross during this tour. Take your time, each wine has its own particularity.. From Angers, follow the Maine River, which will lead you to the banks of the Loire. In the distance, you will see the charming little village of Savennières on the banks of the river. On the horizon, hills are emerging with vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see... It's time to get out the camera, to capture some nice shots. A few kilometres from Savennières, the port of La Possonnière is a pleasant place to drink a coffee or stroll along the water with a view of the barges! Then set off on the Corniche Angevine and the Moulin Guérin which offer magnificent panoramas of the vineyards In the surrounding area, take the time to stop for a gourmet break in one of the wineries which are home to exceptional restaurants. On this road, one of the restaurants has even just been awarded its first Michelin star! On a full stomach, the loop will take you to the artists' village of Rablay-sur-Layon, where you can observe the work of the craftsmen and even leave with a pottery! As for the village's winegrowers, they will share with you their passion for their craft and the wines of the Layon At the end of this tour, stop and visit the highest castle in France: the castle of Brissac, or admire the sunset at the panorama of the Grand Beaumont for a last souvenir..
