A garden inspired by those of the Middle Ages, the medieval garden of Château-Gontier is surrounded by a plant fence made up of hornbeams.
The garden is composed of several small "square gardens" surrounded by plaited chestnut folds and a pond. All kinds of medicinal and aromatic plants and many species of trees are grown here.
