Viticulteur

The vines of the Petit Val are spread over the communes of Chavagnes and Thouarcé, in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon region. The estate was created in 1950 by Vincent GOIZIL with 4.5 hectares of vines, 1.3 of which are in the Bonnezeaux appellation. The passage of time saw the acquisition of new plots and in 1988, the year Denis and Janine took over from their predecessor, the property covered 18 hectares. Today it has 45. THE VINEYARD: 19 hectares are devoted to Chenin, 16.5 of which are in the Coteaux du Layon appellation and the rest in Bonnezeaux; 12.3 hectares of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon give the Anjou and Anjou Villages reds as well as the Cabernet d'Anjou Rosé; 2.5 hectares of Gamay and 8.7 hectares of Grolleau for the Rosé d'Anjou, Rosé de Loire and red Vin de Pays; 2.5 hectares of Chardonnay for the dry white and Crémant de Loire associated with Chenin and Cabernet Franc.
