The Pont Barré: strategic place during the wars of the Vendée.
This bridge was a strategic place during the Vendée Wars and the scene of violent clashes, on 17 September 1793, between royalists and republicans. Numerous vestiges testify to the intense life that reigned there: watermill, old station, locks (the best preserved of the Canal de Monsieur) built before the revolution.
