CHAPELLE DU GENETEIL, CENTRE D'ART CONTEMPORAIN

The Chapelle du Genêteil, contemporary art center of Le Carré, scène nationale, has been welcoming artists for some fifteen years, enabling them to carry out site-specific projects. A 12th-century Romanesque building with a sober architecture, the building itself imposes the creation and production of site-specific works. With over 8,000 visitors in 2011, the Genêteil chapel continues to pursue its multiple missions: to promote national and international creative work, to support and accompany artists, to offer mediation and awareness-raising activities adapted to all audiences, to organize trips, conferences and meetings... These events complement the exhibitions. La Chapelle is closed for restoration work. Le Carré has moved into a new exhibition space at the Pôle culturel Les Ursulines: Le 4bis.
