The "Linières" hamlet of Brigné-Layon is located 30 minutes from Angers and Saumur. Attached to Doué-la-Fontaine, the city of roses, with its "Les chemins de la rose" boutique and park, its rosewater distillery and its international floral art competition at the arena. Doué is also renowned for its "Bioparc", the only troglodytic zoo in the world. The atypically decorated Colibri Loc accommodation, built on a truck trailer, will delight you during your stay. The owners, who are keen recyclers, have repurposed and customized the objects used in this eco-friendly dwelling. Le Colibri is partially heated by wood fire in the cold season. It boasts a fully-equipped kitchen, as well as 4 bedrooms with fitted closets and extra comforters, blankets and pillows. It has 1 160 cm bed, 3 140 cm beds and 1 90 cm bed; 2 showers, 1 bath, 5 washbasins, 2 WCs; 2 televisions. Outside, you'll find terraces equipped with two sets of garden furniture for 10 people, deckchairs and an inflatable swimming pool for summer sharing. (For swimming in a natural environment, near Le Colibri: the "Domaine de l?étang" in Brissac-Quincé, 15 min. away, the Grézillé pond, 12 min. away) At your disposal: an outdoor plancha, especially recommended for frying your catch from the park?s pond. Large and small barbecues are also available. A few farm animals in aviaries, a pony and its ram companion, and wildlife will accompany you during your stay. At "Escapades du Meugon", 10 minutes from the accommodation, you can take a walk with llamas in halters. For wallabies, the "Jardin des kangourous" is 40 minutes away, where you can rub shoulders with them without barriers. Bikes are available for young and old alike. Outdoor games: soccer goals, sandpit and plastic toys, ping-pong table, portico, boules and Angevin shuffleboard await you! "Relaxation corner: a dedicated indoor area next to the gîte, with billiards, table soccer, scrapbooking, coloring, board games and children's books to share with guests and other holidaymakers. Many troglodytic sites of falun and tuffeau are to be visited in the Doué region, about fifteen minutes from the Gîte, as well as several underground restaurants, serving the specialty of fouée or fouace, cooked over a wood fire... to be discovered! Wines and spirits are very much in evidence in the Loire Valley. Three wineries within a five-minute walk of Le Colibri. For wine tourism enthusiasts, Domaine Pied Flond in Martigné/Briand, 8 minutes from Le Colibri, offers a solex ride to visit the vineyards and taste the wines. Distilleries also in Saumur, Angers and Avrillé. In Saumur, capital of the horse, famous for the "Cadre noir", the "Carrousel", its castle... To discover the Loire: canoe and paddle rentals, toue cabanée cruises... Guinguettes on the banks of the Loire... Another great experience: a hot-air balloon flight, for example to Brissac-Quincé, 17 minutes from the gîte.
