An easy ride with a lot of asphalt. The whole on very good paths.
The Eptingen family, already established on the margins of the Sundgau in the 14th century, owned both Hagenthal and Neuwiller where they lived in comfortable castles. This walk crosses their former seigneury and passes through a kilometre wide bottleneck between the borders, since Neuwiller forms a sort of French peninsula on Swiss territory. Text by Marc Glotz from the Sundgau hiking guidebook. Topoguide on sale at the Tourist Office for the price of 1€ per sheet or 10€ for the 17 walking topos. Topoguide downloadable on the website of our partner Visorando.
