LA CROIX AU CHIEN

Legend has it that Marshal de Gié lost his dog, called Relais, on his return from a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. But the faithful Relais came back exhausted and died at the feet of his master some time later. Moved, he buried his faithful companion at the place of the meeting and had a small obelisk raised. Pious hands later added a cross which was called "Cross to the dog" or Bellecroix. It was restored in 1991 by Mr. Fouiller Tailleur de pierre.
