Neo-classical style family residence with typical 18th century Mansard-style roofs
The construction of the castle of Malicorne began in the 12th century on the site of a swamp. On the border between Maine and Anjou, this fortress had the role of guarding the gates of Maine. From the Renaissance, it became a meeting place for the great men of the kingdom, such as the writer Madame de Sévigné. In poor condition, the medieval castle was rebuilt in the 18th century. This elegant residence is registered in the inventory of Historic Monuments. RDV in front of the big entrance gate.
