Presentation of a large collection of Sarthe headdresses on marottes.
From the bonnette to the Bise-moi vite and the Galette, discover the different headdresses worn by Sarthoises since 1800. Explanations are given by lingères who patiently and meticulously restore these lace headdresses, often forgotten and yellowed by time. Demonstrations of bobbin lace are given by lacemakers. Booklets in English and German are available, as are games for children. Free admission on European Heritage Days. ATTENTION, the Museum is due to move during 2024.
