Visit of the Castle of Coulans
The castle of Coulans dates for the most part from the middle of the 18th century, with some later additions towards the end of the 19th century. Coulans has been mentioned since the beginning of the 13th century: its position, on a hill facing west, makes it a stronghold held by the Lords of Coulans, a barony dependent on the county of Sillé le Guillaume. In the 17th century, the barony of Coulans became the property of the Champagne family, then, from 1687, of the Pasquiers, who will keep it in their descendants directly or indirectly, until today.
