FERME DE LA GOURDAINE

Here, about 200 animals live in peace and quiet for 8 months of the year in large pastures. They are kept in large stables during the 4 winter months so as not to suffer from the bad weather. In the autumn, about 50 calves are born and stay on the farm all their lives. Their food is 95% produced on our farm and EXCLUSIVELY from Organic Farming. In fact, their feed consists daily of about fifteen different fodder-type plants such as ryegrass, clover, cocksfoot, fescues, trefoil and many wild grasses such as nettles, dandelion, sorrel ... This ration is brought by the pastures during the 8 months of the year when the animals are in the meadows and in winter, it is brought in the form of hay or wrapping.
