PR7 - 14KM - Walking and hiking trail - Le Chemin des Hospitaliers - Starting point : Car park of the school 32480 La Romieu To discover on the way - The Gardens of Coursiana: created in 1974 by Gilbert Cours-Darne, an eminent botanist who received in 1995 the Olivier de Serres prize (the highest distinction of the Academy of Agriculture), the Gardens of Coursiana compose, a plant group of any beauty. Today, Véronique and Arnaud Delannoy, the owners of the estate, invite you to discover the arboretum and its 700 rare species of trees and shrubs from the 5 continents, the English garden, its beds of plants and flowers with a heady bouquet, the garden of medicinal, aromatic and perfumed plants, the small family vegetable garden, for all nature lovers, whether curious or passionate. The Gardens of Coursiana were classified in June 2005 "Remarkable Garden" by the Ministry of Culture. - The pigeon houses of the Bois de la Ville: places where wood pigeons, which are called palombes in the South-West, pass through the Pyrenees on their migration. - The Chapel of Abrin (disused and private chapel) - View on the village of Marsolan. - The village of La Romieu: 14th century collegiate complex listed as a World Heritage Site by Unesco; The legend of the cats THE ROUTE : Take the direction of the Jardins de Coursiana, where you will find the GR65 and follow this path for about 7km, entering the Bois de la Ville and going along the localities of Montravail and Cauboue until you reach the crossroads that leads to the D166. Turn left and continue for 400m. Leave the D166 on your left and go straight on for 500 metres. Turn left onto a dirt track that runs along the base of the hillside and the Couloumé farm until it meets the PR9. (Follow the PR9 markings). Continue towards the hamlet of Le Cuq. Leave the tarmac road at a bend for a path, then a dirt track. Along a classic house, continue on the ridge and after two farms, emerge on the DN41 that will bring you back to La Romieu and your starting point.
