In the heart of the Loir valley, discover the native land of Pierre de Ronsard, famous poet of the Renaissance, with this small circuit with a rich natural, cultural and historical heritage. The surrounding nature was a permanent source of inspiration for the poet of the Pleiades.
For the start of the hike, go to the house where Ronsard was born, at the manor of La Possonnière, built in the 15th century The "prince of poets and poet of princes" spent part of his youth in this intimate manor surrounded by greenery, the place inspires calm and tranquility. You will be seduced by the elegant architecture of the dwelling, its outbuildings dug into the tufa stone and its Renaissance-inspired gardens, renovated in 2020. This place is a must-see of the Vendôme heritage, labeled "Vignobles et découvertes" since 2015, and can be visited from April to October. The circuit on the vineyard slopes, dotted with numerous cellars, overlooks the Tuffière valley and the Clercs valley, offering magnificent views of the Loir to the north and the Gâtine forest to the south.
