Departing from the heart of the Lot Valley and vineyards, by mountain bike or VTTAE, these 5 days will lead you to discover our superb landscapes and medieval villages along our most beautiful roads and picturesque paths. For your accommodation, there are 4 vacation villages or campsites within a 6 km radius, plus numerous gîtes. Day 1: Châteaux and Bastides You'll start your stay in Lot-et-Garonne with a short jaunt to discover Château de Bonaguil, then return to our valley via Bastide de Montcabrier, with refreshments at Domaine de Cause and Château Calassou. Catering available in Bonaguil. Difficulties: steep gradients, technical sections. (Passage of part of Voie Verte, Touzac bridge under construction) Maximum distance: 70 Km for 1445 m of D+ Day 2: Les Chemins de Montcuq (departure from Puy l'Evêque) After passing through BELAYE, a superb village perched high above the Lot with a breathtaking viewpoint, you'll set off along the Quercy Blanc trails. The most courageous will discover MONTCUQ, made famous by Pierre Bonte in Le Petit Rapporteur, not forgetting Nino Ferrer, who chose to settle here for the beauty of the site. Catering available in Montcuq Difficulties: rolling, technical sections. Maximum distance 86 Km for 1630 m of D+ Day 3: La Bouriane (departure from Puy l'Evêque) You'll take a number of paths between low stone walls to discover this chestnut-tree wooded region, passing through PRAYSSAC, the most beautiful market in the Midi-Pyrénées (2019), then the dolmens area before reaching Les ARQUES where you can discover the Zadkine sculptor's museum. Longer routes will take you as far as SALVIAC, from where the bravest can do a 20 km loop, passing by the Abbaye Nouvelle de LEOBARD. Catering available at Salviac & Cazals Difficulties: rolling, gradients, technical sections, distances. Maximum distance 107 km for 2550 m D+ Day 4: Les Chemins des Vins (departure from Luzech) You can't come to the Lot valley without visiting the Cahors vineyards. At the start, you'll take the old railway tunnel that gives you access to the cliffs that surround this valley, from where you'll discover the most beautiful views of the vineyards. Your first stopover is at Domaine du Clos de la Pougette, after which you'll head for the vineyards of the plateau via Sauzet, before returning to Luzech via the PARNAC cooperative cellar for your final stopover. Catering available in Sauzet. Difficulties: narrow paths, technical and rocky sections, some good gradients. Maximum distance 82 km for 1210 m D+ Day 5 : Les Jardins de Marquayrol For this last day, a short tour through the envoisinantes valleys, after leaving the Lot valley at Castelfranc, head for the Vert valley for your first ravito at Labastide du Vert, where you can discover "Les Jardins de Marquayrol" in the former estate of painter Henri Martin, once you've re-energized, climb up to the Causse du Cluzel to descend into the La Masse valley at Le Junies, then on to "Les Monteils" for a refreshment station, then on to the Château du Théron overlooking Prayssac before the final descent to Puy l'Evêque for the end of this adventure.
