To the south-east of Droué, a village founded in the 13th century, this small hiking trail will allow you to discover a major asset of the vernacular heritage with this legendary stone, known as the "pierre cochée" (ticked stone).

Join the "Perche et Haut Vendômois" to discover this 7 kms loop and enjoy the charm of the Egvonne valley with its picturesque views over the hills. Situated on a plateau, the itinerary leads you on the trail of a legendary stone, a vestige of the Neolithic era: "the ticked stone" Shiny through the centuries, the "pierre cochée" owes its name to its many notches This monolithic block of sandstone measuring 2.50 m by 2.10 m, half buried in the ground, is the largest polisher found in France, an accessory for making weapons during the Celtic period, its notches being used to sharpen the edge of the blades Other blocks ("poudingues") outcrop around it, sheltered under large oaks, giving the place the appearance of a "druidic site".
