Friday, May 19, 8:30 pm Sébastien Farge "ORIGINS Sébastien Farge (accordion, compositions) / Francis Arnaud (drums) / Gautier Laurent (double bass) / BAmaury Faye (piano) We had almost left Sebastien Farge after his Grand Prix du Disque "Gus Viseur 2015", where his vibrant tribute to Jean Ségurel associated with some personal compositions, confirmed an immense talent and let us glimpse a vision of the accordion uncommon for the benefit of THE music. Curious, passionate about his instrument, its history, advisor for the last French Accordion Manufacture, Maugein, tireless worker and composer, Sebastien has matured this opening to Jazz and improvised music. Until a few months ago, when he conceived and wrote "Origins", Sébastien had in the depths of his being, this feeling and this will to gather all that is in him to give back, and to give, to the accordion new titles to conquer, the affirmation of the beauty of this instrument and of the sounds produced. His progress in this musical aesthetics confronted him and comforted him with the looks and the ears of strong personalities, Sylvain Luc, Bernard Cavana, Roland Romanelli... Saturday, May 20, 8:30 pm Christophe Leloil & Rob Clearfield "BLUE Christophe Leloil (trumpet, flugelhorn and compositions) / Rob Clearfield (piano and compositions) Christophe Leloil has been playing his trumpet on stages all over Europe for over 20 years. Rob Clearfield is a rising star of the piano, originally from Chicago, who accumulates prestigious collaborations. Both found each other in Marseille, through a social network. Even more astonishing is the fact that they are both LABORIE Jazz Label Artists, Christophe Leloil, trumpet player, buglist of the formidable Quartet LES QUAATRE VENTS and Rob Clearfield, pianist of Itamar BOROCHOV's famous Quartet. Their meeting was immediately a spark of creativity in our minds ... of course ! They had to meet and be together in this exercise of the Duo. Their music is hazy, romantic, swinging and virtuoso. Virtuoso, inspired, Sam and Fred play all kinds of music! Sometimes serious, sometimes fresh and cheerful, always far from any "vulgar preciosity" to quote Gus Viseur.
