The Valentré Bridge is the most famous monument in Cahors, and rightly so since it is the most complete medieval fortified structure in France. The discovery of the exterior of this emblematic building* is accompanied by a discovery of its surroundings: roadway, lock, towpath, resurgence of the Chartreux fountain and Maison de l'Eau (former pumping station of Cabazat). *inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage list within the framework of Bien 868 "Les Chemins de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle en France"
