This route offers a real immersion in the heart of the ecological, faunistic and floristic heritage of the banks of the Cher. The historical aspect is not forgotten in St-Loup where you can discover its church and enjoy the legendary water of its fountain.
This pleasant itinerary honors the natural heritage of the banks of the Cher. It crosses two ZNIEFF ("Prairie de St-Loup" and "Chênaies-Charmaies"), crosses a Natura 2000 area and ends by following the Cher river. The historical heritage is also present in St-Loup-sur-Cher with the 12th century church which preserves remarkable wall paintings, as well as richly sculpted furniture To the east of the village is the fountain known as "Bon St-Loup", whose legend says that its water never dries up or freezes and protects children from fear and convulsions. At the edge of the stream of the Grange, the communal wash-house built in 1910 and restored, offers landscaped surroundings, favourable to relaxation.
