Long live the world's writings! In the summer of 2024, the Figeac Theatre Festival program takes you on a journey through the writings and cultures of the world, to discover the poems of yesterday and today, from Federico García Lorca to Ivan Viripaev, via Carine Corajoud, Emmanuelle Bayamack-Tam, Béatrice Bienville and Florence Aubenas. At a time when our need for poetry, light and creation is greater than ever, the guest artists give us a chance to hear love, the jolts of life, the joy of being in the world. Their vitality helps repair the tragedy and opens doors to possible resilience. All these poems, written and performed, are our most precious possessions, the foundations of our humanity. I'm delighted to bring them to you in Figeac. This rich program of popular, accessible and generous theater will be nourished by Rendez-vous Curieux, open to all, aperitif-meetings, writing and acting workshops, readings, a round table and the residency of author Milène Tournier, who will come to Écrire sur l?Autre / Faire portrait, so that writing becomes a way of looking, of delicacy, of curiosity, of encounter. Let us guide you through the pages, imagining your journey à la carte and without borders, in search of sensitive poetic spaces, bubbles of optimism and moving encounters.
