Arrived in La Borne in 1982, Roland Bottani settled with Katrin Dechaud in the old Digan workshops. In a country with a strong tradition, they still take pleasure in producing a wide range of everyday stoneware (pitchers, bowls, vases, vinegars,...).
The seasons and the festivals give them the opportunity of punctual productions (pots of gardens, pots for the canning...). The pots are turned, some pieces are decorated with pear-shaped engobe. By the technique of partial enameling linked to that of firing in a wood-fired oven, they seek to take advantage of the richness of local raw materials. The weekly firing at 1320° in the Feller wood-fired kiln still gives rhythm to the work of the workshop.
