Eglise Saint-Pierre Saint-Paul

France > Centre-Val de Loire > Loiret > 45330 > Augerville-la-Rivière

The church was built in the 12th century under the aegis of the King of France Louis VI Le Gros following the signing of the Charter of Allegiance to the King of France in 1132, on a Gallo-Roman cemetery.

The church of Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul was particularly developed at the beginning of the 16th century thanks to the work initiated by Marie Coeur, the granddaughter of the great treasurer of Charles VII. The church of Augerville is provided with a furniture enriched over the centuries. The eagle lectern dates from the 17th century, and the altar, altarpiece and tabernacle were added in the 18th century.
