At the gates of the hamlet of Cheylaret, a black rock seems to emerge from nowhere among the grassy expanses of the Aubrac plateau. Witness to the legacy of lava flows from the volcanoes of Auvergne, the Cheylaret rock is made of basalt. It offers the most beautiful view of the passage of the Bès between meadows and groves on the Lozerian Aubrac.
