Walk in the heart of the town of Puiseaux, known in particular for its splendid twisted bell tower.
The town of Puiseaux was home to a priory of the Parisian abbey of Saint-Victor, known for having been an illustrious centre of medieval theology. The church of Notre-Dame, built in the 13th century, attracts attention with its twisted bell tower: a unique example in the department, also rare in France. The streets of the village are home to some beautiful old houses, the 16th century market hall and some remains of the 13th century walls (turret, Tour de Rély...). The old cemetery is also worth a visit, it includes a 13th century cross and a 17th century chapel.
