The "Pierre Plantée" is a moving testimony of the presence of Man in the late Neolithic period. In addition to its imposing shape, this menhir has engravings on its surface showing superimposed Latin crosses, a sign that the monument has been christianized.
The "Pierre Plantée" is a moving testimony of the presence of Man in the late Neolithic. This menhir is located between the villages of Mazeyrac and Chassagnes, on the edge of a field On the surface of the imposing 2.65m high granite stone, there are engravings of superimposed Latin crosses, which shows that the monument has been christianized.
