At the entrance to the Aubrac NRP the village of Le Buisson dominates the landscape. Its origin is very old. The village is said to take its name from an enormous bush which was situated to the north of the village and which made it stand out from far away. Most of the buildings in the village are marked by traditional Aubrac architecture using granite and lauze in a harmonious way. As you wander through the narrow streets, you will discover a small rural heritage with the blacksmith's trade, granite crosses and fountains as well as the bread oven. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the square in front of the 19th century church of Saint-Anne. You will find the pleasure of water and fishing at the Lac du Moulinet 2.5km away, accessible on foot, by bike or by car from Le Buisson. Situated a few minutes from the Parc des Loups du Gévaudan and the Château de la Baume, Le Buisson is a central village for many escapades and unusual experiences.
