"A fortified house whose appearance, both exterior and interior, is the result of two major campaigns of work. The first was undertaken in 1624 and gave the building a fortified silhouette with a covered walkway, watchtowers and large windows. The second, in 1624, was undertaken in the same year.

"A fortified house whose appearance, both exterior and interior, is the result of two major campaigns of work. The first was undertaken in 1624 and gave the building a fortified silhouette with a parapet walkway, watchtowers and large windows with stone crosses used to light the rooms on the first floor with their French painted ceilings. The second campaign took place in the 18th century. It made it possible to carry out a number of comfortable improvements: the installation of a flat forecourt in the facade and a central open-air stairway with wrought iron railings. The first floor was modified by the creation of panelled rooms with plastered ceilings. The high-quality gypsum plasterwork in the ground floor lounge probably dates from a campaign of works in the 1780s. French painted ceilings". Information from the Mérimée base.
