Parcours VTT M3 : Circuit des Lacs

Departure from Col du Wettstein, near the military cemetery. After a short climb to the Mussmiss farmhouse inn, descend to the outskirts of the village of Soultzeren, then climb gradually to the Tanet resort. Start on a small asphalt road, and continue on a wide path from Pfafflitt through Boden to Tanet, with views of its rock and ski area. Immediately afterwards, you pass by the 1st lake on the circuit, Lac Vert, and then head for Lac du Forlet, surely one of the most beautiful in the Alps. The last hurdle on the route is a rocky path that requires you to dismount for around 200 m to reach the Haufenwannkopf stubble and then begin the final part of the route with a 1 km round trip to Lac Noir. Return to the starting point via the hamlet of Hautes Huttes on the heights of Orbey, with its large farmhouses typical of the Welche region This trail, on the heights of the Soultzeren commune, takes in 3 lakes that are emblematic of the Vosges massif: Lac Vert, Lac du Forlet and Lac Noir. Most of your route will take you through forest below the ridges and high stubble fields. Your escapade ends in the neighboring Orbey valley. You can leave from Munster on the M2 circuit.
