Very nice walk on the heights of Sentheim, with passage to the Col du Schirm, to the Ferme-auberge des Buissonnets, next to the big oak and near the Saegenkopf Hut.
Nice hike for brave walkers! Several points of interest on this route: - Sentheim, village of the lower valley of the Doller located at 360m altitude at the door of the Regional Natural Park of the "Ballons des Vosges". To see, its church (1779), the Maison de la Géologie and its geological path, the deer park next to the convalescent centre (former castle 1864), the Sainte-Anne chapel (1888) and the terminus of the Cernay-Sentheim tourist railway line. - Col du Schirm, between Masevaux and Bourbach-le-Haut on the Joffre road. Schirm-Hundsruck dislocation zone between volcano-dedimentary and volcanic rocks. It is the starting point for many hiking excursions. - The Joffre road was built in 1915 to supply the troops established in the Sudel Grand Ballon - Hartmannswillerkopf massif
