Musée du Pays de la Zorn

This museum has been installed since 2001 in the old synagogue (1841) restored by the cultural association ARCHE (Animation Recherche Culture Hochfelden et Environs), and has preserved the essential elements: the platform where the Tora is read, the Holy Ark, the women's loggia. The synagogue is at the centre of a Jewish complex which includes the school with, in the basement, the Mikvé (ritual bath). The whole complex is listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments. The synagogue-museum houses permanent collections reflecting daily life in the Zorn region from the Paleolithic era to the brewers.
