BELVÉDÈRE DU CHÂTEAU

When the Counts of Armagnac settled in Lectoure in the middle of the 14th century, they chose a fortified, central and already prosperous town. Their castle, there is only little left of it, the west wing dominating the valley of the Gers. With a touch of anachronism, in the manner of these powerful lords, stand on the belvedere of the castle with a lively and pugnacious gaze defying the impious battalions of the Counts of Foix-Béarn, whose rivals the Armagnacs once were...
