Le Geisberg

France > Grand Est > Bas-Rhin > 67160 > Wissembourg

The Geisberg hill was the site of successive battles, the most famous of which, the battle of 4 August 1870, resulted in the victory of the Prussians over the troops of General Abel Douay. A unique panorama of Wissembourg and the vineyards of the Palatinate completes the interest of the site (altitude 243 m).
