Guaranteed change of scenery The Frankenthal-Missheimle nature reserve covers 747 hectares. Situated at an altitude of 1220 metres on the Alsatian side of the Honneck massif, its very marked alpine character gives it an important landscape appeal. Glacial cirques, peat bogs and primary stubble are home to numerous plant and animal species. Discovery and physical activities Whether you are a tourist, hiker or sportsman, the Frankenthal-Missheimle nature reserve offers a wide range of activities. Its high altitude beech woods allow it to benefit in particular from a good maintenance of snow in winter and thus to count among the snowiest sites in the Vosges mountains.
