The result of the removal of stones from cultivated plots of land, dry-stone constructions (as they use no mortar) are a particularly endangered part of the identity of our causses. In this course, you'll learn the art of dry stone masonry assembly, and the different types of construction based on local resources, from foundations to finishing touches.
Course details : All ages 14 and over (parental consent required for minors) Limited number of places: 8 people You can bring your own picnic for lunch, or eat on site at the Bistrot de Cuzals. Equipment to bring: gloves and safety shoes if possible. Also bring photos of walls in your locality, to explain the multitude of ways of building in our area. Registration closes on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
