BR28 Du pays de Hanau aux Vosges du Nord

In the west of the Outre-Forêt, the Hanau region offers a succession of gentle hills. From Pfaffenhoffen to Zinswiller, the road crosses a landscape of hills. It then follows the foothills of the Northern Vosges to enter the charming Mittelbach valley after Ingwiller. At the end of this valley, after a few twists and turns through the forest, you come to La Petite Pierre, a village clinging to a rocky promontory. The route continues openly to the west along the edge of the Lorraine plateau before entering the long Zinsel valley lined with pink sandstone. It leads to Neuwiller-les-Saverne and then to the foot of the Bastberg, the last stage before returning to Pfaffenhoffen.
